The difference between baking soda and baking powder is that baking powder has baking soda in it. They are both leavening tools which means they both make things rise. That’s why there is no yeast in cakes.

I realize it’s funny and good content to make a cake with out a recipe but next time I would advise using recipe because baking is always exact and when you don’t follow the recipe or use exact measurements then it’s not gonna turn out good

First off James next time making a cake you have to start with creaming together butter and sugar then add eggs one at a time the alternate between adding the dry and wet ( or we’ll just milk) ingredients ps the first step of baking is greasing the pans and preheating the oven

Add to batter teaspoon of vanilla extract 8. Mix then grease the baking tray put in baking tray 9. Put in oven for 40 minutes turn tray after 20 minutes Enjoy 😊
